Frequently Asked Questions - Game

Q: I asked for sponsors but stopped receiving offers. What should I do?

A: Make sure you've responded to all sponsor offers you've received so far. You must either accept or decline each offer before you can receive a new one. If you declined an offer, you also need to click "Get offers" again on the sponsor screen to request another offer for that slot.
If you accidentally deleted the offer without responding, you'll need to wait a week before a new one appears.

Q: Why can't I sell my player

A: Your club must have enough senior players to field a 4-4-2 formation, and enough youth players to field a 4-4-2 formation.

Q: How come I have red numbers in transfers finances category, yet I didn't buy any players from the beginning of the season?

A: Sign-on bonuses for coaches and physios are also included under the Transfers category.

Q: I noticed that the income from sponsors is not shown properly in finance table. Did my team get less money from sponsors than it should?

A: No. This likely happened because the season changed (e.g., from Season 5 to 6). All sponsor income from the previous season is now calculated into the starting balance of the new season.

Q: I didn't receive all the money from the transfer of my player - how come?

A: Like in real life, there is a player transfer tax in Dugout-Online (called Player Tax), which is deducted from the transfer amount.

Q: I uploaded the logo but there is still the old one showing on my club info page. Why?

A: Try pressing your browser's "refresh" button while on your club info page to reload the badge. If that doesn't help, please contact technical support.

Q: I'm a new player and I made a few fatal mistakes that will make my team go bankrupt. Can I create a new team and start from the beginning?

A: No. Dugout-Online's most important rule is: one manager may only have one club at a time. If your current club goes bankrupt, you'll start over automatically.

Q: I just joined the game, created the account and all but it seems I don't own a club yet and I cannot access the majority of the options. When will I receive my club and join the league?

A: Usually within a few hours (a day or two at most). However, if league or cup competitions are underway, or if your country has a long waiting list, it may take longer. If you've been waiting more than 10 days, contact technical support.

Q: I was bidding on a player but my bids suddenly disappeared from the bidding list. Why is that?

A: Two possible reasons:
1. The selling club was blocked (e.g., for using duplicate accounts or attempting to cheat). When this happens, all pending transfers involving that club are canceled.
2. You and the selling club share the same IP address, and the system flagged it. The bid was not necessarily cheating, but it's a warning: avoid bidding on players from that club again. Repeated activity could result in both clubs being blocked.

Q: I was selling the player and someone bidded on the guy. After awhile the bid disappeared and suddenly there were no bids active for my player. Why?

A: Two possible reasons:
1. The buying club was blocked (e.g., for duplicate accounts or cheating). When this happens, all pending transfers involving that club are canceled.
2. You and the buying club share the same IP address, and the system flagged it. While the bid was considered “normal,” it's still a warning. Don't trade players between those two clubs again, or both could be blocked.

Q: What happens if I go into negative numbers on my clubs account?

A: Being in the red temporarily is not a problem. But if your club's balance drops below -£250,000, you'll receive a bankruptcy warning. You then have 14 days to recover financially. If you fail to do so, your club will be automatically reset.
A reset means:

  • Your club starts from scratch (new players, no buildings, etc.)
  • You receive a 15-point deduction for the current season
  • You get a new starting budget of £1,000,000
  • Your club's rating drops to 1
It's not game over — but it's definitely a situation you want to avoid!

Q: What happens if I get reset?

You will start over with a new squad, no buildings, and a club rating of 1. You'll also receive a 15-point deduction for the current season and a new budget of £1,000,000.

Q: Can I change the name of my club/stadium?

You can change your stadium name under Club → Profile Editor. You can also change your club name and short name, but only during pre-season—and only once per pre-season.

Q: How long is the season?

A: A season lasts roughly 17 weeks, with an additional 3–4 weeks of pre-season. The exact length may vary depending on the current season's schedule.
